This and That

I am trying to be creative in my photos..It was so easy to plop a bouquet in when it was warm out, and the flowers were blooming in abundance, the photos looked great with hardly any effort. So here is a leaf and an apple, whoopee! I know pathetic...i am trying though.
. I am cranking out the pots, and also enrolled in another pottery class..Having fun and learning a lot. I hope to take more and keep on learning the ticks of the trade..
Tonight I am going to my friend Kar's
I am taking a crochet class from her. I met her through my youngest daughter..They were in the same 1st grade class. I remember her daughter always having these fabulous knit and crochet backpacks, sweaters, and socks. This gal really knows what she is doing when it comes to yarn..Way beyond what I can do..so i wanted to learn how to make granny square's for an afghan, and she is offering classes. If you want to learn, go see her, and she is the girl to teach you. Even if you don't want to learn, go by anyway and say hello..she just started blogging, and has some great little posts so far!
My parents are leaving tomorrow. I am glad they are leaving on Saturday(don't get me wrong i do not want them to leave at all) Usually they leave when the kids are in school, and I really get sad and lonely. So this time the kids will be around and it should not be as painful for me(hopefully). I have great parents..i must tell you!! So it is always a bum deal when they drive off to their winter house.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Julie,
I think your apple and leaves make a nice photo. You are so creative. I'm sure you will think of more photo ideas. I'm thinking candy canes and gumdrops would look pretty. Maybe evergreens and pine cones. Have a nice weekend.

Julie,
Your photos are always beautiful! Your lovely pots don't need anything in them, they are gorgeous on their own.
I remember you mentioning that your Parents had a teepee, they have got to be great!

I always love your photos. When my parents moved to Michigan I hated leaving or having them leave after a wonderful visit. I can't wait to see what you crochet. I will check her blog out. I started a Yarn Club with the ladies from my Church and some ladies can't wait for the next one. Have fun with your class.

I do love your flowers, but sometimes I'd rather see all the details of the vase or bowl. You do such great detail, it's a shame not to show them. I still love that dog... ~PJ

your photos are always lovely. maybe for variety you could cut a branch from a tree with only a leaf or two left to use in a photo. and there's always evergreen boughs. it would be cool to take a photo with one of the horse in the background. ok, maybe it'm stretching it a bit. smile! glad to hear you're still learning and improving your craft. i'm still interested in more julie farmer pottery!!

Thanks for coming over Julie! I had a great time and lots of laughs! Your homework? Just make a square like you started, making sure that you have the same number of stitches on each row for about 15-20 rows. Then we can get started on a bigger stitch to get you moving toward the granny squares! :)
