So today, lets make a centerpiece. It is really simple. All if the flowers that I am using are perennials. Meaning, they come back every year. I love planting
perennials because they always give back, and really do not take that much skill. Just water, and a little bit of fertilizer. Visit your local friendly nursery and as questions. I also like to drive around neighborhoods and see what is thriving in there yards. That is a good indication , and it is a great way to see what others have done and get ideas. Let`s get started.
This is an old box. I think I used them when I had the flowers stands. I had two left over. I used one block of oasis. That is that green spongy thing in the center. I soaked it in water overnight, and i lined the box with plastic.
I cut the stems really short. There is not method to my madness. The only tip I can give is when you place the stems in the oasis, place then towards the center. Imagine a little ball in middle of the oasis, and point the end of the stem towards that. It makes it more natural looking. Like it is growing.
I used lilac, viburnum, tulips,
salvia, geranium,
euphorbia, and columbine. I used the foliage from the flowers to cover up the oasis.

Now you probably think, I
couldn't do that. Well. you can. It is not that hard. You can use whatever is growing in your yard. I know it is spring, and there has to be something blooming. Even just a pretty foliage
centerpiece would be cool.
Pansy's would be cute too.
